Water Polo Washington DC Waterpolo Youth Maryland Virginia

Welcome to Potomac Water Polo Club (PWPC), the premier water polo club for experienced prep players in the DMV.  Potomac Water Polo Club is partnering with the University of Maryland’s Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium to offer the region’s best and largest practice facility for water polo. Currently offering training for high-school male athletes, Potomac Water Polo Club hopes to add a program for experienced and talented middle school athletes in the coming year.

Founded by former top-20, NCAA Division 1 player, Jonah Dowd, Potomac Water Polo Club will provide the most competitive club water polo training program in the Washington, D.C. area.  Seeing amazing athletic potential in the region and the opportunity to grow the sport he loves, Coach Jonah struck out on his own to build a program from the ground up that mirrors his own experience as a youth athlete with one of the best water polo clubs in Southern California. Potomac Water Polo Club is excited to work with local teams to provide more local competitive water polo opportunities — reducing the need to commute several hours for games.

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 28, practices will focus on conditioning, fundamentals, and high-level tactics. Potomac Water Polo Club hopes to compete for USA Water Polo’s Northeast zone championship in its first year of operation, and to represent the zone with a strong showing at USAWP’s Junior Olympic tournament in July 2018. Coach Jonah’s long-term goal is to develop and place high-level student-athletes at the best collegiate water polo programs.

If you are dedicated and ready to work hard to personally grow as a student-athlete and teammate, you’ve come to the right place. Registration is open.
